A Thursday cuddle by Houston-born, New York-based artist Madeline Donahue, because the past year has seen far too few of them. Donahue’s delightful ceramic sculptures were one of Elephant’s April Art Crushes, picked to coincide with her current exhibition at Artshack Brooklyn. The artist’s new, tantalisingly tactile works—created during lockdown, while simultaneously caring for her two young kids, according to the exhibition text—reflect “a private world between a mother and her children together in a present moment in nature”.
