We’re welcoming our final guest of the day Precious Okoyomon who’s arrived with poodle in hand, making tabletop martinis at serious risk of spilling. We’re feeling lucky because the dog’s name is Gravity and she’s already dripped out.
For those who don’t know our host, Eartheater is a the multidisciplinary artist, musician, and style icon. Her work blends hyper-digital aesthetics with raw, organic vulnerability. Fusing avant-garde experimentalism with ethereal pop, Eartheater is the queen of sexy soundscapes.
Our guest, Precious Okoyomon, is similar in the way their work breaks boundaries. Okoyomon’s practice explores themes of ecology, identity, and transformation, often weaving together poetry and living ecosystems. Their work delves into the interconnectedness of history and etherealism, creating immersive spaces that invite reflection on cycles of care, decay, and renewal.
On this show, we want the pure unadulterated truth. What’s the most chaotic thing that’s happened to you recently? Precious threw a milk gala in Switzerland. How do you start your mornings? Addicted to SLT, Precious starts their day in a bondage-y, reformer studio with an evil twink is yelling at them.
Similarly to how Precious starts their mornings, “in a slightly punishing way,” we’re swooning over John Mayer. Despite Precious’ unexpected celeb crush, they chose a much more classic karaoke song, ‘That’s Life’ by Frank Sinatra.
A fitting choice, Frank Sinatra, one of the most iconic entertainers of the 20th century, maintained a multifaceted relationship with NYC throughout his life. How thrilling it is to sing Sinatra on a karaoke machine drenched in reverb, with the twinkling startup office windows of downtown Manhattan glowing below.
