‘s documentary image feels as though it comes from another world—and in many ways it does speak of a divide between worlds. Cristobal Cespedes Lorenzo and Francisco Manzanares Cagua are shown transporting coconuts across the river to Copala, Mexico. These are subsequently sold to a company which makes coconut butter and oil: two items in high demand.
