Sundays are best spent sitting around, as evidenced by these wonderful Ukrainian grandmothers, captured by photographer Vinca Petersen. Petersen is the co-founder of the Future Youth Project, an organisation running humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine. Following the Russian invasion, she is now raising critical funds for the organisation, as well as Ukraine’s Happy Child foundation, which supports children and adults with disabilities. To help her in her endeavour, you can now buy one of her evocative images, taken in Ukraine and showcased in a new online exhibition, for £200. “Babushkas are a force to be reckoned with,” she says of these characterful ladies. “There’s no hiding away from the Ukrainian grandmother.” Find out more here.
