Ever since his childhood in Hong Kong, where he would gather with neighbourhood children on pastel-hued sports courts surrounded by lofty high-rise buildings, the Australian photographer Ward Roberts has felt a curious attraction to these suburban spaces for communal play. Read more about Roberts’ practice, and that of several other artists who address suburbia in their work, in this archive article on the theme.
