Marco Mansi, St Dunstan in the East Church Garden, 2022

Londoners, if you’re ever near Monument or Tower Hill and find yourself in need of a moment of calm, be sure to visit St Dunstan in the East Church Garden. A rambling oasis, it is set amid the ruins of a former church that was built in 1100, damaged in the Great Fire of London in 1666, repaired and later added to by Christopher Wren, and then severely damaged in the Blitz of 1941. This elegant picture of one of its arched windows engulfed by cascading greenery was snapped by digital creator Marco Mansi. What’s your favourite secret spot in London?
