Today is National Sisters’ Day in the US, and to celebrate we are looking to Sophie Harris-Taylor’s photo book Sister, published earlier this year (and featured in our weekly Sunday Read back in March

). The bond between siblings can be a volatile one, and Harris-Taylor wanted to reflect on her own “tempestuous” history with her sister by photographing others around Britain. The resulting images present an intimate compendium of women from a range of backgrounds, offering insight into the deeper connection that holds them together.
