Last week, a new exhibition titled Giants opened at the Brooklyn Museum. The exhibition features art from the collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, both keen art collectors and celebrities in their own right. Giants marks the first major exhibition of the Dean Collection and showcases a focused selection from the couple’s world-class holdings. The Brooklyn Museum’s presentation spotlights works by Black diasporic artists, part of their ongoing efforts to expand the art-historical narrative. The collection includes iconic artists like Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kehinde Wiley in this monumental showcase of art and culture.
