Remember the sheer childhood joy of the pick’n’mix counter? Standing in front of a massive wall of sweets and chocolates, getting excited about which treats you might choose? The best bit, of course, was that you only chose the ones you really, truly wanted. If you didn’t want or need a particular flavour, you simply didn’t put it in your bag.
Opening a paintbox for the first time should inspire exactly the same exciting vibes: a brand new set of paints marking the start of a fresh creative project. However, normally you don’t get to select the exact paint colours you want in your paint box: certain shades will have already been allocated, and you might have to tailor your work to suit them.
Not any more.
Elephant’s new Creator 20 set is as unique as your artistic practice: it’s a paintbox that you custom-build. In each box, there’s space for 20 tubes of acrylic colour: just choose the ones you actually want to use (from a swatch of 27). If your work is currently all about yellow, you can stock up on sunshiney tones. If you’re in a blue phase, take your pick of navy, sky and other shades.

A paintbox where artists can choose the precise shades they need offers greater creative freedom and flexibility. And it gives you greater control over your work.
In an era where it’s vital that we work hard to protect and preserve our planet, the idea that paint tubes are wasted because artists don’t need the entire selection of colours in a pre-selected paintbox seems mad. So by choosing only the tones you need, you’re actively eliminating waste, and maximising the usability of your paintbox.
But this isn’t the only way that the Curator 20 paintbox considers the environment. Each paint tube is made of recyclable aluminium, and is squeezably easy to control so you won’t end up pushing out more paint than you require.

All the paper packaging is made from recyclable, FSC-certified materials, and our free returns policy (UK only) means that you can send back used tubes and lids to us for safe, eco-friendly disposal. The box is also letterbox-friendly, so you won’t waste time or fuel going to pick up an undeliverable parcel from a distribution centre.
We don’t think any other art supplies shop can offer this service.
The professional quality acrylic paints in our Creator set are non-toxic, water-based and super easy to use, making them suitable for all ages, in all settings. It’s simple to layer, blend and mix colours, and the paints are quick-drying, too. Each highly pigmented colour is lightfast and dries with a satin finish. They can be used on a variety of surfaces, from paper and canvas to fabric and wood, making them ideal for experimentation.
Rekindle the excitement of a new paint box by designing it to work in exactly the way you need. An artist’s work is unique, so your bespoke paint set should be too.
